MonthLedger is a local-first personal finance app built around month-end closing. It supports fast transaction entry, accounts and credit-card statement periods, budget carryover, month-end net worth, tag groups, searchable fiat and crypto currencies, borrowing and lending, custom trend periods, batch account/category changes including archived records, editable transaction copies, guides with a separate sample ledger, full JSON backups with optional daily iCloud backup and restore, CSV import and export, and Home Screen widgets.
MonthLedger is free to download and use, with no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

No. MonthLedger has no account system and no subscription.
Your ledger is stored locally on your device. MonthLedger shares the data required by its own widgets through an Apple App Group container. If you enable iCloud backups, full backup files are saved to your chosen iCloud Drive folder. This is file backup and restore, not live ledger synchronization. The developer cannot access your ledger data.
Open Settings > Data & Backups. Use a complete JSON backup to back up or restore your ledger and settings. CSV import and export support viewing and migration; preview an import before applying it. You choose where exported files are saved and how they are shared. In iCloud Backup & Restore, choose an iCloud Drive folder to enable daily full backups or restore a saved backup. iOS schedules background runs; missed backups run the next time you open the app. Backups are kept for 7 days by default, with a custom retention period. Expired app-generated snapshots are removed after a new backup syncs successfully, keeping at least the latest valid copy. You can also confirm deletion of a backup within the app. Restoring a selected backup replaces the local ledger after a preview and a local recovery point.
No. Fiat rates refresh daily through ExchangeRate-API, with Currency API via jsDelivr and Cloudflare as fallback sources. Prices for 16 supported cryptocurrencies come from Coinbase, with Kraken as a fallback; they refresh when opening or returning to the app if over 5 minutes old. Manual refresh is also available. Failed automatic attempts wait at least 5 minutes before retrying, and failure alerts appear at most once every 24 hours. Existing prices and manually locked values are preserved. Fiat requests send a base-currency code; Coinbase uses USD and Kraken receives the same fixed supported pairs for every user. Conversion happens on the device. Requests do not include your currency selections, transactions, balances, tags, notes, or other ledger data. Providers may process necessary network information such as IP addresses. There is no wallet connection or crypto trading.
Prices are indicative and show when they were fetched; they are used only for estimates. They may differ from bank, transaction, or settlement rates, and you can edit them manually in the app. Sources: ExchangeRate-API and Coinbase.

账本数据保存在设备本地，并通过 App Group 与月结账本桌面小组件共享。可选开启 iCloud 备份，将完整备份文件保存到你指定的 iCloud 云盘文件夹。这是文件备份与恢复，不是账本实时同步。开发者不会接收你的账目内容。
在“设置 > 数据与备份”中使用完整 JSON 备份来备份或恢复账本及设置。CSV 导入导出用于查看与迁移，导入前可预览影响。导出的文件由你自行选择保存位置和分享方式。在“iCloud 备份与恢复”中选择 iCloud 云盘文件夹，可开启每日完整备份或恢复历史文件。后台由系统安排，未执行时下次打开补备份；默认保留最近 7 天备份，可自定义保留天数；新备份同步成功后清理过期的 App 自动命名快照，至少保留最新一份有效备份；支持在 App 内确认删除指定备份；预览并确认恢复后，先保存本地恢复点，再替换本机账本。
不会。法币通过 ExchangeRate-API 每日更新，备用来源为经 jsDelivr 和 Cloudflare 提供的 Currency API；16 种主流加密货币通过 Coinbase 获取参考价格，Kraken 为备用来源。打开 App 或回到前台时，超过 5 分钟刷新加密货币价格，也支持手动更新。自动更新失败后至少间隔 5 分钟重试，失败弹窗每 24 小时最多提醒一次，保留已有价格和手动锁定值。法币请求发送本位币代码；Coinbase 固定使用 USD，Kraken 请求固定的受支持交易对，在本机完成换算。不会上传你的币种选择、交易、余额、标签、备注或其他账本内容；服务商可能处理 IP 地址等必要网络信息。App 不连接钱包，不执行加密货币交易。
在线值会标明获取时间，仅用于账本估算，不代表银行成交或结算价格；App 中仍可手动覆盖汇率。汇率来源：ExchangeRate-API；加密货币来源：Coinbase。
